One of the most original blues artists of his generation, Otis Taylor's music is a sometimes spooky stew of roots styles in their rawest form, played in a singular, highly rhythmic, trance-like style with unique instrumentation (he fancies banjo and cello). The Denver-based musician's lyrics—emotive vignettes, really, that are often based on actual historical events—explore heavyweight issues like murder, homelessness, tyranny, racism and injustice. Guitar Player magazine calls him "arguably the most relevant blues artist of our time." He's certainly one of the most underrated. We are proud to welcome Otis back.

Composed of four highly accomplished multi-instrumentalists who captivate audiences with guitar, fiddle, string bass, marimba, ukulele, percussion, banjo and mandolin, Boulder Acoustic Society emotes a deep respect for tradition, a passion for innovation, and a flair for intriguing instrumentation. The music is modern and accessible, subtle yet virtuosic, and serious yet light-hearted. Known throughout North America for its genre-blending songwriting, improvisation and intimate, personal vocals, the band will open for the Otis Taylor Band in Albuquerque.
