SATURDAY, SEPT. 2

Saturday's lineup features singer-songwriter extraordinaire GREG BROWN, smokin' blues from the EDDIE TURNER BAND, and the gorgeous alt-folk of THE BE GOOD TANYAS. In addition to their Main Stage set, don't miss the Tanyas' Canadian folk music demonstration on the Grand Hotel Stage at 6pm. The evening also boasts classic old-time blues from LOUISIANA RED and an authentic high-energy Zydeco dance party with Central Louisiana's
T. BROUSSARD & THE ZYDECO STEPPERS. Our side stages will rip all day long with sets by TRILOBITE, TOAST, RYAN McGARVEY and a demonstration on traditional Irish music by bouzouki master ROGER LANDES. If you like to stay up late, we'll be rollicking into the after hours with a blues jam hosted by BOB CORRITORE and, right across the street in the Saloon, an Americana stomp led by JOSH MARTIN & FRIENDS.

SUNDAY, SEPT. 3

One of our favorite singer-songwriters of all time, PATTY GRIFFIN (we've been trying to book her at the fest since 1999, and we finally cornered her), will headline a day that includes a searing set with DAVE ALVIN & THE GUILTY MEN, full-tilt blues featuring the titanic vocals of HAZEL MILLER, the vagabond folk of all-girl trio PO' GIRL, a set with the great bluesman DAVID "HONEYBOY" EDWARDS (who was at his bedside the night Robert Johnson succumbed to a poisoned glass of whiskey). And our side stages feature BONE ORCHARD, the JENNY GAMBLE TRIO, SEAN HELEAN BAND and more, plus a blues jam hosted by KEN VALDEZ and, right across the street in the Saloon, an Americana jam featuring all sorts of great artists from local faves FROGVILLE RECORDS.

New Mexico's premier roots music festival kicks off each year at the famous Eaves Movie Ranch near Santa Fe, where many westerns have been filmed. In addition to three days of internationally-acclaimed roots music on three stages all weekend long, the festival boasts camping, tasty BBQ, local microbrews, fine wine, and crafts. Face painting, arts & crafts, and other kids' activities will again be hosted by the Santa Fe Children's Museum from 3 to 8pm Saturday and Sunday, so bring the young ones and turn them on to great music. There's plenty of opportunity for a cool drink in the saloon and shade is abundant, but the main stage is outdoors. So remember to bring lawn chairs, sunscreen, blankets, warm clothes for the evening and anything else you might need for an outdoor event. We do not allow tents, coolers, alcohol, glass, cameras or pets.
We care about our patrons' health; the Thirsty Ear Festival is a non-smoking event!
Like any festival, our lineup is subject to change. Thanks for supporting live music!
